How To Produce More In Less Time ?

February 16th, 2009

Writing articles is fun, but it can be even more rewarding when you learn how to produce more in less time. In this series, we will discuss about how to create sets of articles. Given below are a few examples

1. Creating more articles in less time

If you were writing about Bollywood Blogging   as your topic, you could make a plan to write 2 articles on Bloggers, 4 articles that goes into detail about each of the different styles of writing  and what they mean, and another series on the topics that the Bollywood Bloggers usually blog on - their interest, passion etc.

There is no end to it. Just ensure that the Quality is maintained.

Remember – More in less should not lead to No More !:)

2. Targeted writing

Let’s say your target is to produce 2 articles that are 400 words each. While getting started,   you get on a roll and accidentally produce a fantastic 800 word article. Break the article in half, give the other half a new title and you have an instant article set…even if it was created by accident.

It may not work always…but wherever it works, apply

Remember – Reader’s attention span is limited…so a 400-500 words is optimal…500-700 is still manageable..

3. Developing a Unique Style

One style of writing might be all bullet points,   another lists of things, another is a Q&A   approach, another might be conversational   or discussion of issues. Each type of writing is best when done in  sets of the same style.  Each of them makes excellent article topics.

4. FAQ based article

Pick up a topic of your interest, write down let’s say 10 questions relating to that topic. Try to answer them yourself. Group them logically , give an apt title and boom ! You are done!

5. Researched Article

If you know what to write but don’t know where to go, follow these simple techniques

a) Go to google, pick up facts about the topic that you want to write

b) Gather some good quotes by well known personalities or celebrities

c) Read what other bloggers had to say about the same topic…

d) Pick up a few relevant points

e) Once you have all these, put it in an orderly fashion

f) Give an apt title

g)  Publish

Of course, ensure to follow the blogging guidelines…i.e – No spelling mistakes, no grammatical errors, follow logical flow etc.

You write 10-15 such articles, you will  develop your own style of writing !
